Cold River is a a brand of [ingredient=vodka vodka] made by Maine Distillers. Cold river makes:
- Cold River Classic Vodka is made from 100% Maine potatoes.
- Cold River Blueberry Vodka. Wild Maine blueberries are soaked in their potato based vodka, the infusion is drawn off, and around 10 g/l of sugar and some water is added. This clear flavoring is blended into a 90 proof vodka, bringing the finished proof down to 80. Cold River Blueberry vodka is much less sweet than other flavored vodkas, and it is more aromatic and complex than other blueberry vodkas due to the maceration of the whole fruit.
- Cold River Gin starts with the same neutral potato spirits as their Classic Vodka, and then is infused with juniper berries, coriander, lemon peel, orange peel, orris root, angelica root and cardamom. It is bottled at 94 proof.
