1⁄2 oz Cachaça, Novo Fogo
1 twst Orange peel
1 twst Lemon zest
Instructions

Stir, strain into OF glass with fresh ice, add zests

  • Liked the overall complex dark flavor profile, but too sweet. Balanced well with juice of half a lime.
  • Very bitter. Very sweet. More Amaro than cocktail. Of course, that's hardly a problem.
  • I liked the original, but just tried subbing cachaca with Barbancourt white rum and added a generous splash of homemade ginger beer on top. Kind of like a Dark and Stormy, but with much more depth and complexity.
  • "Choking Nut" perhaps?
