3⁄4 oz Gin (Any old Beefeater variant will do)
3⁄8 oz Bénédictine
4 dr Absinthe
3⁄4 oz Lime juice
Instructions

Build in shaker; add ice, shake until frosty. Double strain into up glass

Notes

Wanted a Last Word, didn't have Green Chartreuse. Did a little internet research, and found an interesting suggestion for combining Elderflower liquer and Benedictine as a sub. Added a bit of absinthe for that anise kick.

  • Ah, this is just perfect. The Last Word is one of my favorite cocktails and I was thrilled to see this sub. It works extremely well.
