Shake vodka & cordial; pour into Nick & Nora; top w/ Champagne; garnish with lemon twist

Created in 2002, this is an an elderflower cocktail that predates St. Germaine.

  • Made with homemade cordial that was probably too light on the elderflower. The result mostly tasted like tart Champagne. Solid, but nothing special. I guess this would be at least a 4 made with a more elderflower-y cordial.

Some background history is here. Elderflower cordial is quite different than liqueur but has historically been widely available in the UK. It's also apparently available in Ikea.
