Amarula Cream is a brand of cream liqueur made in South Africa and imported to the United States by Brown-Forman. Amarula Cream is made from the Marula (Sclerocarya birrea), a native tree related to the mango, cashew and sumac. Marula fruits look like smaller versions of green plums, and have a tart, savory flavor.

Amarula is made from a base of marula eau de vie, with additional flavors and cream added. It is then sweetened. Amarula Cream is an off-beige color, and has an interesting caramel, cinnamon and persimmon aroma and flavor in addition to the roundness of the cream. Amarula is bottled at 34 proof.
