Tres Agaves (NOM 1109, Tequila Arette de Jalisco, S.A. de C.V) is a brand of 100% agave tequila made in Jalisco, Mexico. It was founded in 2008 by Eric Rubin, Barry Augus, and Chris Alvarez, who positioned the brand as a mixer for the Margarita.
Tres Agaves makes a blanco, reposado and an añejo tequila, along with a premade sweet and sour mix and an agave nectar. The reposado is aged for between six and nine months in Woodford Reserve (Bourbon), Jack Daniels and Heaven Hill barrels, while the añejo spends 18 months in Woodford Reserve barrels. Al Tres Agaves tequilas are bottled at 80 proof.
