D'Aristi Xtabentún is a traditional Mayan liqueur from the Yucatán Peninsula, crafted from fermented honey produced by bees that pollinate the xtabentún flower, combined with green anise and rum. This provides the funky sweet honey and minty herbal backbone. Next we bring another traditional Mayan Liqueur, Guaycura Liqueur de Damiana is a Incan herbal liqueur crafted from wild damiana stems and leaves native to Baja California, it features a warm, semi-sweet flavor profile with notes of chamomile, citrus, and herbs with a subtle hint of spice whichh culminates in a smooth finish. It is famously packaged in a bottle shaped like an incan fertility goddess. Thisis a revered indigienous tequila based potion that has been around for centuries. This is a tequlia for those who do not like tequila. This is an aromatic beverage that plays well as the base spirit in this drink. Coming in as the flavor modifier, eg. the kick is Zirbenz Stone Pine Liqueur. Zirbenz draws its flavor and natural red color from the freshly picked fruit of the Arolla Stone Pine grown in the Austrian Alps by the same family since 1797, it features a unique, resinous pine-floral backbone with a slightly earthy and piney with a minty berry finish. This pairs so well with The Damiana Tequila and the honey liqueur of the xtabentun flower honey. The finisher is the acid of Lime juice to temer it all out and results in a full mouthed cocktail where are parts work together to produce an awesome drink
Created at a hosted cocoktail party where I gave a couple guests a tour of my liqueur safes and they asked what are the most unusual bottles of booze do you have.
