Powers is a brand of Irish Whiskey founded in 1791 by James Power in Dublin, Ireland, and owned since 1989 by Pernod-Ricard. In 1886, they became the first Irish distillery to bottle their own whiskey, using a gold label to differentiate it from "white label" Powers bottled by an independent bottler.

In 1966, Powers joined their rivals Cork Distillers and John Jameson and Co.  to form the Irish Distillers Group. All the distilleries under their control were closed and production moved to a new distillery at Midleton in County Cork in 1974.  In 1999, they launched a 12 year old version of Powers.

Powers is a triple distilled blend of about 70% malt and 30% grain whiskeys. The gold label is aged for seven years in barrel, and the 12 year between twelve and twenty four years. Both are bottled at 80 proof.
