I have been a cocktail enthusiast for years, in particular tropical/rum-based cocktails. However, it wasn't until early on during quarantine 2020 that I started to think about making my own. I'm interested in all the various techniques and cleverness that goes into making a delicious and intriguing cocktail, as well as helping to bring the tiki/tropical scene away from its appropriative roots and refocus on cultural appreciation as well as the craft of the drinks themselves.
