Brown sugar cordial is a type of [ingredient=demerara-syrup demerara syrup] flavored and stabilized with Demerara rum.
To make brown sugar cordial, take 2 parts of brown sugar and one part water and bring to a boil. Cook at a boil for two minutes, then let cool. Add 1 part of decent Demerara rum (Lemon Hart, El Dorado 5) to every 10 parts of syrup, strain, and bottle.
Keeps for a month in the refrigerator.
