Notes

There are five or six cocktails named Tuxedo (at least), all supposedly originating from the same club at the turn of the last century. Here's one of the simpler and, to my palate, better ones.

History

Per David Wondrich, this is the original version of the Tuxedo from the Tuxedo Club, which opened in 1886.

Kindred Cocktails member joshlh has contributed his own special calls for this one, referring to it as "Maturin", using Gin Mare, Manzanilla sherry, Regan's orange bitters, with 4 drops of saline, and lemon twist.
