1 oz Rum, Denizen Merchant's Reserve
1 oz Rum (Gustoso or other grassy white rum)
1⁄2 oz Macadamia nut liqueur, Trader Vic's
1 oz Lime juice
3⁄4 oz Falernum (Tippleman's syrup)
1⁄4 oz Hibiscus Liqueur, FruitLab
1⁄4 oz Sherry, Lustau Manzanilla
1 spg Mint (Garnish)
Instructions
Shake and pour over crushed ice. Garnish.
This was pretty good. There are very few drinks that call for Trader Vic's Macadamia Nut Liqueur so I tried this one after picking up a bottle from a hole in the wall store down the river. Had to sub for the Rums as PA no longer carries Denizen (which is awesome) and I've never heard of Gustoso. Overall, I liked it a good bit. Maybe just a touch to sweet? Might add a 1/4 oz more lime juice next time.
