1 1⁄2 oz Vodka (or dry gin)
3⁄4 oz Simple syrup (Lingonberry)
Instructions

Combine, stir with ice, strain over new ice in rocks glass or up in a coupe. Garnish with expressed orange peel or rosemary sprig if yr fancy

Notes

This was originally mixed with vodka ad hoc. A floral or junipery gin would likely add a pleasant dimension. The combination of fruit and flower are the real heroes here.

History

This is an original thrown together from what we had in the bar on New Year's Eve in 2017. Named for St. Catherine of Vadstena, after the inclusion of St. Germain and Swedish fruit concentrate—and mixed at the request of a patron named Katherine—this drink keeps coming back around as a notably delicious expression of unique ingredients.
