2 oz Wheat Whiskey, Bernheim Wheat Whiskey
3⁄4 oz Simple syrup
3⁄4 oz Lime juice
1 oz Ginger beer (1 to 2 oz)
1 wdg Lime (garnish)
Instructions

Muddle strawberries and lime juice in shaker. Add whiskey, simple syrup, and ice. Shake and double strain over ice in a Collins glass. Top with 1-2 oz of ginger beer and garnish with a lime wedge.

History

Bernheim's variation (year unknown) on the Kentucky Buck using wheat whiskey rather than bourbon. The Kentucky Buck was created by Erick Castro at Bourbon & Branch in San Francisco in 2008.
