Champagne Julep

12 oz Cognac
3 oz Champagne
12 oz Simple syrup
1 ds Bitters, Angostura
7 lf Mint (6-7, mixed)
1 spg Mint (as garnish)
Lightly press mint leaves in syrup, add other ingredients and crushed ice, stir gently, top with crushed ice, mint sprig, and lemon peel.
