2 oz Mezcal (Lost Explorer)
1 oz Passion fruit liqueur (Chinola brand)
3⁄4 oz Lime juice
3⁄4 oz Simple syrup (Chipotle simple syrup (see recipe))
1⁄4 t Turmeric (Turmeric powder)
Instructions

1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass and dip it in Tajín or chili powder.
2. Add all ingredients to an ice filled cocktail shaker.
4. Shake and strain into your prepared glass over a large ice cube.
6. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and/or a lime wheel.

Notes

Chipotle simple syrup: In a small pot, combine equal parts water and sugar. Add one dried chipotle chile and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool completely. For a richer flavor, let it infuse for a day or two in the refrigerator. Strain out the chile before using.
