2 1⁄2 t Cynar
2 1⁄2 t Sweet vermouth, Dolin (red vermouth)
1 twst Orange peel (as garnish)
1 Maraschino cherry (as garnish)
Instructions

Make as you would a martini. Stir over ice until very chilled, double strain. Garnish maraschino + orange zest

  • Made with dry rye gin. Closer to a Martinez or Hanky Panky than a Manhattan. Good feature of sloe gin, the fruitiness of which goes well with the vermouth.

Probably 1 oz, 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/2 oz is the closest American build for this (within 5%). Cynar and sloe gin are an elegant duo.
