1 1⁄2 oz Rye
3⁄4 oz Ramazzotti
3⁄4 oz Byrrh
1 t Maple syrup
1 twst Orange peel (as garnish)
Instructions

Combine all ingredients. Stir with ice. Strain into coupe. Garnish with orange peel.

History

Dorman's original recipe: 2 oz rye, 1/2 oz Amaro Abano, 1/2 oz Byrrh, and the same bitters, syrup, and garnish.

Rich but potent, well structured with lush berry/grape from the wine based amaro/aperitif, along with the maple and plethora of other warm and welcoming flavors. 4.5 out of 5 (only dinging half for how sweet it is) but rating a 5 because it didn't last long in my glass, and I am certain my wife will like this variation on a rich Black Manhattan theme.
