3⁄4 oz Amaro Nonino
3⁄4 oz Aromatized wine, Tempus Fugit Kina L'Aero d'Or
1 ds Grapefruit bitters, Bittermens Hopped Grapefruit Bitters
Instructions

Stir with ice, strain into a chilled double old fashioned glass with a large piece of ice. Garnish with large swath of grapefruit peel (cut into the shape of a ticket if desired.)

Notes

I used Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon (90 proof) to hit the desired potency and flavor--this bourbon has substantial, but not specifically-disclosed rye content. Kina l'Aero d'Or replaces the more cinnamon-forward Cocchi Americano (half and half Cocchi and LIllet Blanc might work as a substitute.)

History

Created in late August 2026 as a Boulevardier riff on the gin-based Aprilia by Kit Paschal, Eastern Standard, Boston, 2012. I keep making the Golden Plane Ticket as a go-to cocktail finisher after testing other new cocktails that aren't quite working for me.
