A Spontaneous Libation for your Consideration

Edward Teach

Created and posted by A.Martini.
1 3⁄8 oz Dark rum
2 1⁄2 t Triple sec, Cointreau
2⁄3 oz Coffee liqueur, Caffé Borghetti espresso liqueur
1 ds Hot sauce, Tabasco Sauce
Instructions

Shake and strain in an Old Fashioned glass (or in a liqueur glass).
If you want, garnish with light fuses ...

Notes

I prefer to use, instead of Tabasco, a crumbled dry red chilli pepper and make a double strain.

History

The first of a series of rum-based cocktails that I created in honor of Caribbean pirates

Too much lemon juice. Try ½ oz next time.

A bit on the sour side however perfect for the sweetness of the amaretto and apricot brandy. The first sip was Oh that is nice. Suggest 1/2 oz of lemon juice.
