1 rinse Ouzo (Barbaresso)
1 3⁄8 oz Gin (Four Pillars Navy Strength Gin (58.8%))
1 oz Vodka, Smirnoff
1 twst Lime peel (as garnish)
Instructions

1. Chill your glass well
2. Add 5–10 ml ouzo to the glass, swirl to coat, discard excess
3. Fill a mixing glass with ice
4. Add gin, vodka, Cointreau, and bitters
5. Stir firmly for 25–30 seconds until very cold
6. Strain into the ouzo-rinsed glass
7. Express lime peel over the top, discard

Notes

Profile: Clean and dry up front, with a subtle anise whisper on the finish.
Energy: Calm confidence. Quiet danger.

Variation: Blood Pact Edition
(Slightly softened, still no apologies)
Add
• 10–15 ml orange juice

Adjusted Build
• 40 ml gin
• 30 ml vodka
• 10 ml Cointreau
• 10–15 ml orange juice
• 1–2 dashes bitters
• Lime peel
• Ouzo rinse (same method as above)

Notes
• Stir only — shaking makes the OJ loud
• If it drifts sweet:
• Reduce Cointreau to 5 ml or
• Add one extra dash of bitters

  • My partner asked me if I could make a martini, I didn't have the ingredients so I came up with this. I wanted it to be flavoursome, with a kick but not take your breath away or shock the senses. I use Four Pillars Navy Strength gin which is 58.8% proof. It is distilled in Healesville, Victoria, Australia. I'm not sure of its availability worldwide but I certainly recommend any gin lovers to get hold of it by any means. In saying this, if you can't get it I suggest using your own gin of choice for my cocktail.
