Ginger liqueur is made from, well, ginger. Two varieties are widely available in the U.S. Domaine de Canton as a spicy-sharp ginger flavor somewhat similar to ginger beer. Creme de Gingembre has a softer ginger flavor, more similar to ginger ale.
