3⁄4 oz Grenadine
1 ds Bitters, Angostura
Instructions

Shake, Double Strain, Up, Coupe

Notes

Use homemade Grenadine. Don't even bother if all you have is fake stuff. Grenadine is pretty easy to make!

  • Made with Beefeater and lemon. Found the Gin maybe a touch too strong for the drink. Will try Aviation Gin instead on the next go!
  • Tart, cranberry-ish. The Cynar is ingenious here. 2nd time, with 1/2 oz cherry grenadine. Still cranberry-ish. — ★★★★
  • Did it with Rose's and then with homemade grenadine. 4 with the cheap stuff, 4.5 with the real stuff. The Cynar makes this drink.

Love love love this!!! Subbed cardamaro for cynar and lemon for lime (all we had), homemade grenadine (made with a touch of orange and rose water), cherry bitters, definitely putting this one in rotation!

Tasty but a little on the sweet side. Will try reducing the grenadine a bit next time.
