1⁄2 oz Sweet vermouth, Carpano Punt e Mes
1⁄2 oz Mezcal
1⁄2 oz Lime juice
1⁄2 oz Jalapeño Syrup
1 pn Salt

Notes

Other kinds of chile syrup are also good here -- habanero especially. The more bitey the syrup is, the more play there is with the smoke.
