1 1⁄2 oz Rye
1 oz Tawny port, Taylor (Taylor Fladgate 10 year)
1⁄2 oz Amaro Nonino
Instructions

Stir, strain, pour over rocks

Notes

I was playing around with a 3-2-1 ratio Negroni type combination and thought "What would Kerouac mix up?" Maybe the amaro Nonino would be too fancy for him (and too modern) but I thought it was mellow enough to work well with port and rye. I chose rye, but might want to try other whiskeys. ** Update ** After remaking this a few years later I decided it was too sweet for me, so add 1 oz campari to make it more like a Negroni and less like a Manhattan.
