A craft drink for the cocktail novice
1 1⁄2 | oz | Light rum |
1 | oz | Lime juice |
1⁄2 | oz | Simple syrup (1:1) |
1 | T | Strawberry preserves |
1 | dr | Orange flower water |
Instructions
Shake, double strain, chilled coupe, no garnish.
Notes
Fruit preserves are 1) a great way to emphasize familiar, approachable flavors for cocktail novices; 2) highly concentrated, textured, balanced by acidity, and cheaper than liqueurs or syrups. This format works equally well with other fruit preserves; try orange marmalade or apricot.
