1 1⁄2 oz Light rum
3⁄4 oz Simple syrup
1⁄2 oz Lime juice
1 pn Salt

Muddle two strawberries in shaker, shake with rest of ingredients and double strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish: skewered strawberry half dusted with black pepper.

  • I did not like this as much as I thought I would. It reminds me of drinking strawberry jam. Not enough lime juice and the sherry really disappears. Maybe I'll try cutting the simple to 1/2 next time. — ★★★
