Ginger on the Side

1 oz Cognac
1 1⁄2 oz Ginger liqueur, Domaine de Canton
1 oz Lime juice
3⁄4 oz Orange liqueur, Grand Marnier
1⁄4 oz Campari
1⁄4 oz Elderflower liqueur, St. Germain
3 ds Orange bitters, Regans' orange bitters
Instructions

Long shake, strain, coupe

Notes

Grand Marnier can be replaced with other orange liqueur but will be slightly less smooth

History

This is based on the very excellent Ginger Sidecar, but I found it a bit blunt and sweet. After many tweaks I feel like this version is a little more subtle and complex.
