Hazy Asset

Full flavor with light smoky and fruity after tones
1 12 oz Cognac, Hennessy
12 oz Scotch, Glenlivet 12yr
12 oz Cherry Liqueur, Cherry Heering
12 oz Cassis, Mathilde
13 oz Sweet vermouth, Martini & Rossi
12 oz Cinnamon syrup
12 oz Orgeat
14 oz Lemon juice
5 dr Bitters, Angostura
1   Maraschino cherry (as garnish)
Shake, strain, straight up, cocktail glass, garnish
Cinnamon syrup = 1 part water to 1 part brown sugar. Boil with two sticks of cinnamon. Let sit for 2 hours. Transfer from pot to bottle but keep cinnamon sticks in syrup container for one day after.

For example, I can see that Cherry Heering is important, but wouldn't another cognac, single malt, or sweet vermouth work fine? Thanks for posting?
