2 oz Rum, Doorly's XO
3⁄4 oz Lemon juice
1⁄2 oz Simple syrup (Parsnip)
1⁄2 oz Curaçao, Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao
1 t Allspice Dram, St Elizabeth
Instructions
Shake with a big cube and a little cube, strain over another big cube (this would also work with crushed ice probably). Garnish with star anise.
Notes
To make parsnip syrup, juice parsnips until you have a half cup of strained juice, mix with equal weight sugar and a dash of orange flower water.
You can also sub .5 of the rum for something a little more funky or bold if you feel like it.
