    I was skeptical, but this is surprisingly decent. A great cocktail to make if you have cucumbers and rosemary from the garden. I think the sweetness from the simple syrup and the tonic water is slightly excessive. But cucumber flavor kind of needs some sweetness, so the next time I make it, and I shall, it will be a small reduction in the simple syrup, maybe 3/4 oz for two servings.

    Thanks. I have added your reference, listed recipe as authentic with Sam Treadway as creator. It was 1 oz of ginger beer in your original blog, should I change it to that or leave it at 2? I guess I could also include optional suggestion to stir in Tabasco if desired.
