Instructions

Whip shake all but the Fernet and coffee liqueur with a few pieces of ice, then strain into a highball glass filled with crushed ice. Float the Fernet and coffee liqueur on top and garnish with the pineapple fronds.

History

Came up with the name first, then decided it was a great opportunity to deploy my favourite shot, 50:50 Fernet:Mr Black (or what I call a Mr Brancaâ„¢). Skewing the float towards Fernet works better in terms of aromatics and cutting through the drink towards the end.
