Curated this to clarify the creator of the original.

Shawn C commented on 5/18/2023:

Rich but potent, well structured with lush berry/grape from the wine based amaro/aperitif, along with the maple and plethora of other warm and welcoming flavors. 4.5 out of 5 (only dinging half for how sweet it is) but rating a 5 because it didn't last long in my glass, and I am certain my wife will like this variation on a rich Black Manhattan theme.

Sweet but good, but sweet. Orange bitter is very important. Made with Grand Marnier, half Eagle Rare and Dad's Hat, angostura orange...

Maybe better on the rocks ?

Craig E commented on 11/15/2018:

Yes, rocks had occurred to me as a remedy for the lip-coating sugariness. I'll give it a try and consider changing the recipe. Thanks for trying it!

Unknown & Disguised

3⁄4 oz Mezcal
1⁄3 oz Spiced Rum
1 oz Herbal liqueur, Yellow Chartreuse
3 spg Coriander
Instructions

Shake, strain, coupe

Notes

Mezcal Light smoke + spiced rum + coriander are a real good match.

Despite the ratio, Chartreuse is nearly undetectable.

Maybe 1/3 more Mezcal would be better.
