Coco Cocoa Daiquiri

1 1⁄2 oz Coconut rum (Important to use an actual rum instead of a rum based liqueur)
1⁄2 oz Fernet Branca
1⁄2 oz Crème de Cacao, Tempus Fugit
1⁄2 oz Orgeat
1 oz Lime juice
Instructions

Shake and double strain into a chilled coup.

Notes

I designed this drink for a quality coconut rum, as opposed to coconut liqueur. The particular coconut rum I used, Koloa, is 80 proof and has both coconut and chocolate notes. I played up the chocolate with créme de cacao, and added fernet for a bitter counterpoint to the coconut and chocolate.

Thai Elvis

1 1⁄2 oz Barbados Rum, Mount Gay Eclipse Black
3⁄4 oz Lime juice
1⁄2 oz Ginger syrup
1 oz Coconut milk
3 ds Pepper tincture, Scrappy's Firewater Tincture

Instructions

Muddle cilantro, syrup, and bitters. Add the rest of the ingredients, shake and strain into an ice filled rocks glass.

Notes

An homage to the singer Manuel Toi GB who performs as Thai Elvis at the Palms Thai Restaurant in Hollywood. The drink is meant to be a take on Tom-Kah soup

Instructions

In a cocktail shaker, combine all the ingredients
Shake with ice for 10-12 seconds
Strain into a glass over ice
Garnish with a wheel of blood orange and a sprig of mint

Notes

Blanco tequila's earthy agave notes are paired with Liber & Co.’s blood orange cordial and the bitter bite of Campari. Fresh lime juice brings acidity and balance, while a touch of salt brings it back to margarita territory, resulting in a familiar yet unique Halloween libation.

Cocktail originally born as a classic Sidecar (hence the name), but gradually transformed into the current version (October 2023), which includes gin instead of cognac and the replacement of lemon juice with pomegranate juice obtained from the fruit which is not unripe but not even mature.
