1 oz Cardamaro
1 ds Islay Scotch, Laphroaig (spritz, as garnish)
Instructions

Stir, strain, rock, spritz.

Notes

Adrienne, fed up with coming up with drink names, has decided to simply name each drink after the person she's made it for, and told me that this drink is called the Rafa. I don't think that's a suitable name for a drink, especially one this delicious.

  • Not really fair to rate this as I didn't have Aquavit. I used 50% Pernod 50% gin instead. Also didn't add spritz. My version wasn't bad though.

  • This is excellent - just the right amount of smoke and peat. I used quarter cask Laphroaig and Macallan 10 year. The Macallan gives nice fruit and richness.

Mint Tea Julep

2 oz Rye, Michter's (Infused with Mint Tea)
1⁄8 oz Demerara syrup
1⁄8 oz Zucca
4 spg Mint
Instructions

Place 2 sprigs mint in metal julep tin. Add liquids, muddle gently and let sit 1 mintute.
Fill with crushed ice and swizzle. Garnish with 2 more mint sprigs.

Notes

Using Rare Tea Cellars mint meritage tea, 1 Tblsp per bottle of whiskey for 1 minute. 1/8th ounce of both dem and zucca sometimes need to be fat.

Shake tequila, (Use half a grapefruit and half a lime) grapefruit juice, lime juice, simple syrup and bitters with ice. Pour into tall glass and top with club soda. Splash with Grand Marnier and top with Citrus Wedge

I came up with this one day while playing with a La Paloma. Be careful though, it goes down pretty easy follwed by a few others.
