Shake the rye and pineapple juice. Dump into a Collins glass, top with ginger beer, stir a bit, dash bitters on foam.
So I'm surprised this isn't a thing already. Rye + ginger beer is a thing, as is rye + pineapple. But I was in a pool at a hotel and the frozen Mai Tais were looking real sketchy. I had the bartender throw this together and unsurprisingly, it was delicious.
- Nom de plume — Rye, Elderflower liqueur, Orange bitters, Ginger beer
- Rusted Root — Scotch, Elderflower liqueur, Bitters, Ginger beer
- Grand Autumn — Rye, Elderflower liqueur, Bitters, Ginger beer, Lime juice
- Glasgow Mule — Blended Scotch, Elderflower liqueur, Bitters, Ginger beer, Lemon juice
Creamy, bitter, and funky. Absolutely lovely
