Burning Rubber
Stir, strain, express peel.
The sweetness of the bourbon and the sherry notes of the brandy prevent the charred qualities of the Cynar 70 from dominating this high-octane drink.
- Vieux of Christmas — Rhum Agricole, Rye, Amontillado Sherry, Bitters, Peychaud's Bitters, Lemon, Orange peel
- Another Country — Rye, Sweet vermouth, Caffé Amaro, Carrot Eau-de-vie
- Sideburn Sour — Bourbon, Red wine, Bitters, Absinthe, Egg white, Orange juice, Simple syrup
- Sketches of Spain — Speyside Scotch, Blended rum, Zucca, Oloroso sherry, Amaro Meletti, Bitters, Orange peel
- Hi Falutin — Bourbon, Swedish Punsch, Byrrh
Definitely high octane. Needs something to give it better mouthfeel and smooth it out - I tried gomme syrup, but that's not it. And I don't think the lemon garnish does it any favours.
