3 ds Orange bitters, Regans' orange bitters
1⁄2 oz Elderflower liqueur, St. Germain
3 oz Seltzer water
1 twst Orange peel
Instructions

Stir/strain into Collins glass with ice. Top w sparkling water. Garnish w/orange peel

Ran out of gin trying mix Amore Amore for a garden party.

Instructions

Stir with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Cut two strips of lemon peel. Slice each in the middle and interlace into the shape of an x. Balance on the edge of the glass.

Notes

Prepared for a May the Fourth Staw Wards party, with a garnish that (vaguely) resembles in x-wing. Named for an obscure Star Wars ship that an x-wing can land on.

Refreshing for a boozy drink, gin botanicals and minty wormwood from the Chartreuse balance each other well, as does the sweet-sour, I like drinks that use GC in moderation.

Babette's Supper Club was a popular drinking/entertainment spot in Atlantic City during Prohibition. It is featured prominently in the HBO series Boardwalk Empire. This cocktail has no connection to the spot other than I enjoy the HBO show and wanted to name the creation after this locale.

I didn't have the exact same ingredients, but I tried a variation with
1 1⁄2 oz bourbon (Maker's Mark)
1⁄2 oz Bittermens Citron Sauvage (a grapefruit bitter liqueur that has both bitterness and surprising acidity, so I skipped the bitters and twist)
1⁄2 oz Cynar (what I had on hand)
1⁄2 oz Ancho Reyes chili liqueur (definitely try adding this if you have it)
and it was really delicious!

The Ecstasy of Gold

1⁄2 oz Crème de Banane, Giffard
1⁄2 oz Bénédictine
