Tilting Windmills
Stir brandy, rum, Amaro Angeleno, and sweet vermouth over a large rock of ice. Float Manzanilla sherry on top. Garnish with an orange swath cut into a pinwheel
Created using Cocchi Vermouth di Torino, Cardenal Mendoza Solera Gran Reserva, Don Q Anejo, and Amaro Angeleno. Amaro Angeleno was a specific choice due to its flavor profile, but if you have to substitute it, use a bitter amaro that tastes predominantly of oranges.
Creation was inspired by a talk given by a Don Q brand ambassador, where they mentioned the name and logo were based on Don Quixote, hence the use of Don Q over another aged rum.
- Melody — Sweet vermouth, Amaro, Jägermeister, Peychaud's Bitters, Pussanga
- Amarillo Portón — Pisco, Sweet vermouth, Suze, Orange peel
- Lua Bonita (Beautiful Moon) — Cachaça, Campari, Sweet vermouth
- Flâneur — Sweet vermouth, Bonal Gentiane Quina, Campari, Cognac
- Cloud 9 — Blanco tequila, Aromatized wine, Salers Gentiane, Lemon peel
Potentially interesting bouquet of flavors, but just far too sweet.
