Third Shot Drop
Muddle 2 chunky slices orange bell pepper in a shaker. Add ice and liquid ingredients. Shake and double strain into chilled coupe. With a channel knife, cut a strip of lemon peel over the drink, then use it to tie together a couple of thin slices of pepper as garnish.
I subbed Norseman Olympia for the unavailable Chartreuse. Also used orange rather than yellow pepper but that didn't show up in the database.
Made for Reddit Original Cocktail Competition, March 2024: Green Chartreuse and brandy. Credit to the Lawn Dart for the muddled bell pepper idea.
- Complex yet accessible. It’s a bit Chartreuse forward but the pepper and pineapple tone it down with a bitter/sweet balance. Brandy is a good base but I subbed with Cognac. — ★★★★
