In-depth work

1 2⁄3 oz Bourbon, Elijah Craig
1⁄3 oz Suze
1⁄3 oz Jägermeister
1⁄3 oz Mirto (Myrtel 70 proof)
Instructions

Stir, strain, coupe, Cherry garnish

Notes

Fainted hot and Fernet ?!

Resulted in a hanky panky kind of drink.

Bitterness with Suze and mirto, with spices from Jager with floral and fruity notes from mirto.

Not too sweet and not too boozy.
Some perfume notes in mouth.
Rounded by corn from Bourbon.

History

Having some drinks at home with an old friend not seen in years.
I bought a bottle of mirto liqueur a few days ago, the same brand available in la commune cocktail bar, and though it maybe worth buying one.

  • Seems like a waste of Ardbeg.

Subbed the Uigeadail with Wee Beastie. Still had to double the Frangelico to be recognizable.

  • Sweet, but has all my faves. I subbed the syrup with some leftover honey/orange/vanilla syrup, so mine may have been extra dramatic (BTW I never watched "The Bachelor") — ★★★★★

  • Nice riff on a Naked and Famous. I bumped the smokiness up after tasting by spritzing with some Laphroaig 10 yr. Well done!

Primarily sour. Subbed Lillet Blanc and was impressed it was present because it tends to disappear in most recipes I use. Next time I'll probably bump the Mezcal up to 1/2 oz to coax more smokiness out of it.
