Skyezerac
Rinse a rocks glass with absinthe and Peychaud's Bitters. Add one large rock. Stir all other ingredients with ice and strain into the rocks glass. Twist an orange peel above the glass and discard.
I was in the mood for anise and smoke, and a little on the sweet side. This fit the bill quite nicely, so I thought I would share.
- Debonair — Scotch, Ginger liqueur, Lemon peel
- Arrowhead — Bourbon, Eau de vie of Douglas Fir, Pear liqueur, Bitters, Islay Scotch, Maple syrup, Lemon peel
- Thrust and Parry — Scotch, Ginger liqueur, Mezcal, Candied ginger
- New Nails — Scotch, Jamaican rum, Drambuie, Swedish Punsch, Bitters, Absinthe, Orange peel
- Border Trilogy — Bourbon, Mezcal, Bitters, Piloncillo syrup, Grapefruit peel
Sweet, herbal, balance and depth. I love last word variations but this one has more than most. 5 stars!
