  • Could go slightly less on the chartreuse
  • Extremely tasty, but had no grapefruit bitters - used orange instead

Agree on less Chartreuse. 0.75 worked nicely. Preferred with a spicier style Anejo ( I used Herradura). (4 Stars)

Can-Can Martini

2 oz Gin
1⁄2 oz Dry vermouth
1 twst Lemon peel (or orange, as garnish)
Instructions

Shake all ingredients with ice and fine strain into a chilled Martini glass. Garnish with lemon or orange twist.

Notes

A fragrant, easy to love variation on the classic martini! The bracing, dry flavors of gin and the sweet, floral-fruity flavors of elderflower liqueur balance each other beautifully. Play with the proportions of St. Germain and dry vermouth according to personal preference. I like a good dose of vermouth, but some may prefer to substitute a dry white wine.

  • A sweet floral martini, very tasty and not harsh. The lemon twist and the elderberry play nice together, but it might have just a bit too much St. Germain. Consider reducing the St. Germain to see what it tastes like.

  • Great, interesting, easy drink! Funky with a light sweetness.
  • Unique bitter herbal balance, but a bit too sweet for me. I added 3/4 oz. squeezed pink grapefruit and that worked well for me.
  • Challenging! Brilliant! Maybe a little sweet.

This is a very good unusual combination, just like aquavit/campari/maraschino/peychauds.

  • Completely decadent! Use super fresh blackberries for more taste. I'd personally skip double straining because I like the texture.
