I think how well these proportions work depends heavily on one's ginger syrup. With the one I used, 3/4 of syrup was far too sweet, and I had to add more lime juice to temper that.


Bletchley Park

1 1⁄2 oz Blended Scotch, Monkey Shoulder
3⁄4 oz Herbal liqueur, Yellow Chartreuse
1⁄4 oz Suze
1 Brandied cherry (eg Massenez, NOT maraschino, as garnish)
Instructions

Stir with ice, strain, coupe, drop in cherry with just a little brandy from the cherry jar.

History

Bletchley Park was Britain's centre for code breaking during WW2. The German military Enigma code was broken using electromechanical 'bombes', the British versions being adapted by Alan Turing from a Polish original.
