Muddle sugar cube and Zucca with a splash of water until dissolved. Add bourbon and ice, stir, strain into old fashioned glass with large cube. Garnish with expressed orange swath.

Billy Sunday Daiquiri

1⁄2 oz Rhum Agricole, Rhum JM Blanc
1 oz Passion fruit syrup
1⁄2 oz Simple syrup
4 ds Bitters (Pineapple)
Instructions

Shake with ice, dirty dump into 16 oz goblet and top with crushed ice.

Notes

When I've made this at home, I've used Brooklyn Hemispherical Charred Pineapple Bitters (no longer available as far as I know). There are some recipes online for pineapple bitters, or you could infuse fresh pineapple into some tiki or aromatic bitters.

Hadn't made one of these in awhile and kinda forgot what it tasted like, so I just mixed one up.  Surprisingly it wasn't as bitter as I would have thought, and not at all overpowering.  I actually found it a bit sweet with 1/2 oz 1:1 syrup, I'd probably go with either 1/3 oz 1:1 syrup or 1/4 oz 2:1 rich syrup.  But if you want those classic Ango flavors in a stirred drink, it's a good way to go.  Might also be interesting to try with Smith & Cross / Rum Fire / Stolen Overproof or an Appleton / overproof split for the rum base.

I was going to give this a shot, but I wanted to confirm it's lime juice in the build and a lemon garnish?  That's a bit unusual (no pun intended).  And does "Mezcal (Verde)" refer to the Mezcal Verde Momento brand (mad props for their label game)?

If I had to guess, it means green like "green cowhand" - unaged. Thanks,  Zachary

Yes, it's verde/Momento mezcal. Not too smoky...

I've tried both, even without peel. Just a preference.

You should try first a sip without.

I've just edited the recipe, ratio for rye was 1/5 but it's not.

Just modified to 1/3 but i do not remember right now the exact ratio.

Seems too short for the amount of liqueurs.

I am going to check...

Long List Split

1 1⁄2 oz Gin, Tanqueray
3⁄4 oz Mezcal (Verde)
1⁄4 oz Galliano
1⁄4 oz Suze
1⁄4 oz Pine liqueur (Quaglia)
1⁄4 oz Herbal liqueur (Homemade - see note)
Instructions

Stir with ice, strain in rock glass with a big ice cube. Serve.

Notes

Short on the 1/4....

Homemade herbal liqueur comes from imbibe. Recipe at https://imbibemagazine.com/recipe/diy-herbal-liqueur/

Did not have fresh oregano.
I Added to steep after bottling, fennel seeds, cardamom pods, cinamon a long time.
Very fresh at the begining, turns out to be more herbal/amaro kind at last without bitterness.

I think, averna mixed with yellow chartreuse+ cinamon steep or grated or syrup (a pinch) would work.
