Jockey Full of Bourbon
Shake, double strain into chilled coupe, garnish with brandied cherry.
Variation on a bourbon sour; tastes like a sour cherry.
Adapted from the "Jockey Club Cocktail No. 2" in Gary Regan's "Joy of Mixology". Name taken from a Tom Waits song.
- Cut the lemon in half, at least when using bottled lemon juice [DLL]

- Georgia-Kentucky Squirrel — Bourbon, Crème de Noyaux, Peach bitters, Lemon juice
- The Commodore — Bourbon, Dark Crème de Cacao, Lemon juice, Grenadine
- Francis the Mule — Bourbon, Orange bitters, Orgeat, Lemon juice, Coffee, Lemon peel
- Gris-Gris Sour — Bourbon, Chicory Liqueur, Lemon juice, Maple syrup, Egg white
- Capitán — Añejo rum, Añejo tequila, Bitters, Orgeat, Lemon juice, Lime juice, Nutmeg
It's an almond whiskey sour. Okay, but nothing special.
