Red Brick Kitchen's Mezcal Cocktail
Shake. Strain. Service in rocks glass rimmed with smoked salt and Aleppo chili.
- Nice, well-balanced cocktail. Didn't have agave, so used honey mix. Turned out great.
- Use 1/2-2/3 specified agave
- I halved the agave and with that it was just about perfect. I think with the full half oz it would have been too sweet.
- Cynar works great in this!
- Johann Goes to Mexico — Mezcal, Bitters, Demerara syrup, Lemon juice
- The Olivia — Mezcal, Ginger liqueur, Lime juice, Honey syrup, Cucumber
- Liquid Smoke — Mezcal, Amaro, Lemon juice, Simple syrup, Grapefruit peel, Salt
- Azteca — Mezcal, Campari, Triple sec, Lime juice, Lime
- A Love Supreme — Mezcal, Cassis, Amaro, Bitters, Lime juice, Rich turbinado syrup 2:1, Salt
Following the comments, I think 1/4 oz agave was not quite enough although still a good drink, but 1/3 oz agave made it very accessible. A great mezcal forward drink.
