Notes

Gunpowder Rum is hard to fake, but in the quantity required for this drink you'd probably get away with Smith & Cross. The Hawthorn Lounge prepares batches of the four minor ingredients to make them easier to handle.

Instructions

Build drink in pint glass. Add 1 large blackberry and muddle. Add ice and shake hard for 8-10 seconds. Strain into double old fashioned glass either straight up or on the rocks. Garnish with 1 Luxardo Maraschino cherry.

History

This faux tiki punch was inspired by Jack London's story called "The Pearls of Parlay" and utilizes punchy rhum agricole blanc, tequila and coconut liqueur with a hint of vanilla.
