Rewritten after I realised I'd made a complete hash of the proportions. As written now it's as I intended it. Improved, you might say.
The concept - an improved, perfect Martini - was quickly followed by the name. Put an olive in as well, if you really want to get carried away.
- Opted for the olive. Lovely clear light gold. Balance is quite nice: Piny-ness and bite of the gin is quite tamed, but other ingredients agree to be quiet together, and sweetness seems right.
- Fourth Degree — Gin, Sweet vermouth, Absinthe, Lemon peel
- Gonzalez — Gin, Sweet vermouth, Maraschino Liqueur, Bitters
- Velocity Cocktail — Gin, Sweet vermouth, Orange
- The San Martin — Gin, Sweet vermouth, Herbal liqueur, Lemon peel
- Harry's Cocktail — Gin, Sweet vermouth, Absinthe, Mint
Used Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish gin, Sobieski vodka, and Lillet blanc. Very smooth 👌 Too easy to drink. Rate 4.5
