Man with No Name
Stir and strain into a rocks glass misted with Green Chartreuse. Lime twist, discarded.
Original recipe specifies Zapopan Blanco tequila and housemade mole bitters.
- A Mexican Sazerac.
- I rinsed rather than misted with the chartreuse, and that proved too strong. Somehow I get "fruity" flavors alongside the expected herbal notes.
- Beijinho — Cachaça, Strega, Crème de Menthe, Peychaud's Bitters, Absinthe, Lemon peel
- Novak — Plum eau-de-vie, Becherovka, Pelinkovac, Maraschino Liqueur
- Haitian Winter — Haitian Rum, Walnut Liqueur, Fernet Vallet, Aromatized wine, Bitters
- Secret Religion — Tequila, Aromatized wine, Bitters, Crema de mezcal, Bénédictine, Chocolate bitters
- Vernis à Ongle — Haitian Rum, Bigallet China-China, Sweet vermouth, Star anise
I could read 1/2 oz 'agave syrup 1:1 with water' as either a half or a quater oz of each. Tasting the drink, I think it's supposed to be 1/2 oz total - in other words, 1/4 of each. Pleasant drink, though.
